Wherever we live, the concrete reality of the world around us shapes our sense of "community." It is the place we call home -- with all its good and bad features, its beauty and ugliness, its strengths and weaknesses. Each of us has a voice in shaping our world. We can make our voices heard and impact felt.

Our communities offer limitless opportunities for faith in action. Perhaps it is fighting poverty, aiding those with mental disabilities, planting trees, or helping the aged, sick or the dying. Council 6417 looks for things that are needed and workable in the community and designs programs that meet that need. By studying the needs of our community, determining what members are interested in and what our resources allow, we can make a difference. All it takes is to get involved!
