Any Council 6417 Third Degree member in good standing, one year after the anniversary of his First Degree, is eligible for induction as a Fourth Degree member in Monsignor William Wamboldt Assembly 3139. The primary purpose of the Fourth Degree is to foster patriotism by promoting love, loyalty and responsibility for one's nation and the legitimate authorities and institutions appointed to the defence thereof. In addition to preparing for and assuming senior leadership roles in the Church and society, Fourth Degree members ensure a continual visible presence in the community by serving as honour guards at religious and civic functions.
